Immunoanalytic days are one of the most important annual conferences organised by University Hospital with the collaboration of Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Charles University. Every year foreign invited speakers participate form many countries and make the conference more attractive.
This year more than 160 participants form the Czech Republic registered. Scientific programme was joint with cultural program; first evening was organised by the dean of the Faculty of Medicine prof. J. Fínek, at the ancient restaurant Staroplzeňská restaurace pod Radyní in a village Starý Plzenec, the second was organised by the president of the conference prof. O. Topolčan for all conference participants at the Congress Centre Primavera.
Program consisted of three main topics:
- Personalised medicine in diagnoses and treatment optimalisation
- Biobanks in the Czech Republic and European Infrastructure BBMRI-ERIC
- Biomarkers, their importance in early diagnosis, prevention, prediction, treatment and follow-up
To name our foreign speakers: Prof. E. Diamandis (Canada), dr. R. Molina (Spain), prof. J. Duffy (Irelan), prof. V. Barak (Israel), Dr. A. Nikolini a Dr. P. Ferrari (Italy), all they covered in their presentations the above topics of the programme. Czech-Bavarian cross-border collaboration was presented by all partners of the BRoTHER project.
This year conference was a great success based on the reactions of participants both form the Czech Republic and from abroad. Next year we will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Immunoanalytic days and we are looking forward to meeting our speakers, partners, collaborators, supporters and friends next year in Pilsen.
