11.-12. December 2017, Pilsen
Workshop in Pilsen was the last meeting of project partners in 2017. The first part was devoted to the evaluation of the first year of the project duration, all partners referred about his/her work package.
Ch. Brochhausen (Regensburg), the coordinator and WP1 leader summarised the organisational issues and the creation of a prototype of a digital pathology framework: using modern web based technologies for whole slide imaging (WSI) and virtual microscopy a tool for sharing histological image data and interactive evaluation. K.F. Becker (Munich) evaluated national and international recommendations for pre-analytical pathways and storing conditions, comparison of the pre-analytical pathways of the project-partners, evaluation and comparison of histological slides form each site as a prerequisite for the harmonization of standard operation procedures of the project partners. J. Kinkorová (Pilsen) summarised all dissemination activities as presentations on congresses, press releases, articles, TV, radio, and so on. The last partner D. Valík (Brno) was absent. The second day the participants visited Biobank in Pilsen and all laboratories. New promising method OSNA (one step nucleid acid amplification) was presented by M. Pesta, and multiplex immunoassays by M. Karlikova.
The program for the year 2018 was prepared during the workshop and will be finalised soon.
