Our Biobank systematically collects specimens of liquid biological material (mainly blood serum and blood plasma). Samples are collected from patients with various oncological diseases (breast, colorectal, lung, prostate, liver, pancreatic and other cancers), cardiovascular diseases and (on request) other pathological conditions. We also collect samples from healthy population.
The sample processing is carried out in strict compliance with the rules of Czech legislation and ethical rules. Emphasis is placed on compliance with preanalytical recommendations according to the Controlled Documentation of the University Hospital Pilsen. Separate blood sample tube is collected from the patients and subsequently processed in the laboratory. After separation, aliquots (300 microL) are frozen at -80°C or -150°C.
All samples are coded (pseudonymised). We also provide clinical data and results of biochemical and other analysis.
